Many moons ago, my mom mentioned that she wanted to gather information about the "Lady's Club", a group of women that who got together in the 1940's as a way to help the Red Cross raise money for WWII. After the war the women continued to meet monthly and make quilts, aprons, dish towels and raise money.
As I finally began the project we realized we wanted to capture even more information. As the neighbors are getting older and most of the kids have moved away, we decided a book was needed that had information about the families that lived on the Ponsford Prairie 1940-current. If we didn't tell out story, it will be forgotten. I have nearly 200 families information gathered so far.
To date I have all the genealogy information gathered. Now I am looking for pictures!
If you lived on the Ponsford Prairie and have pictures of your family and the farmstead, please email them to me at ksuegleisner@gmail.com
When the book is finished it will be available for purchase. I will keep everyone updated!
